Our current reality is that we are running out of space to effectively serve the people of the west San Joaquin Valley. NextGen will address our challenges by giving us the permanent Worship Center that our Sprung building was never intended to be and allowing us to double our Children and Student Ministry space.
We're asking you to prayerfully ebrace the challenge of NextGen. We ask you to take a spiritual journey with your Southwinds family over the next few weeks. It's a journey we're taking for people we haven't met yet, for people who haven't been born yet. It's a jouney that will call for radical, even sacrificial generosity. Pray faithfully about what God is calling you to do through NextGen. As we follow God together, we can make an eternal impact on the next generation.
JOIN US ON THIS JOURNEY
Attend each week.
Join our Worship Celebrations on Sunday at 8, 9:30, or 11am.
During the week, participate in a small group.
Ask the Lord to bless NextGen as you seek His direction for your life. Pray that you and your family will grow in faith as we trust God to work through us.
Pray for protection of the Southwinds leadership and that Southwinds will always be a place that impacts the next generation.
Commit to giving generously, above and beyond your usual giving for the next three years.
Remember that God can do the impossible! Ask God to work through your generosity to make an eternal impact. Trust Him to answer your prayer.
A financial commitment to Southwinds NextGen is not a legally binding contract. We ask that you give us an estimate so we can plan for our future. God tells us in 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." If your financial situation changes, you may increase or decrease your giving level. Please call if you have any questions about giving stocks, bonds, or other assets.
Your faith commitment and gifts are tax deductible and confidential.
PRAY FOR GOD TO WORK
Heavenly Father, we pray for your wisdom and discernment as we seek to be faithful to the blessing you have entrusted to us. We ask you to give us a vision for reaching the next generation of Christ-followers across the West San Joaquin Valley. May we so love you and love your world that we invest in your kingdom with radical generosity. We long to reach our neighbors and touch your world. We pray that "the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."(Habakkuk 2:14)

THREE YEAR TOTAL
ACCORDING TO HIS POWER THAT IS AT WORK WITHIN US,
NOW TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN ALL WE ASK OR IMAGINE,
TO HIM BE THE GLORY IN THE CHURCH AND IN CHRIST JESUS THROUGHOUT ALL GENERATIONS, FOR EVER AND EVER! AMEN.
EPHESIANS 3:20-21 NIV
make the commitment
There's still time to join the NextGen Spiritual Initiative! You can make a 32-month commitment to NextGen starting this November.
In this NextGen challenge, we're not asking you to give what you cannot afford. We're not asking you to do anything but what the lord is directing you to do, nor more, and no less! There is no compulsion. What is the Lord calling you to give? This is a matter between you and Him.
The journey has begun, and will continue over the next three years. Keep a journal of the amazing and unexpected ways God will work and provide in your life to accomplish your commitment. In the end, our hope is that you'll be able to join in the prayer of David and say "But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand." (1 Chron. 29:14)
Online giving is simple. You can set up a recurring NextGen gift by logging in to SWCurrent.org and selecting "repeating gift" [watch a video walkthrough]. One-time giving is also available at SWCurrent.org and can be done with or without a login.

Celebrate how great God is!
Admit areas in your life that may be outside of God's will, or anything you know may not be pleasing to God. You can even confess your hesitation to engage in the process.
Think about the many aspects of your life you have to be grateful for: your health, a place to live, food to eat, a job that provides income, loved ones, a car to drive, etc.
Relinquish all that you have, worries and all. The may be the hardest part! Consider opening your hands, palms up to God, as an act of your willingness to let go.
